70,000 original miles (as of 10/18)

Overall goal of this truck is to make a cool driver that the whole family will enjoy. My kids are pretty stoked about this one! LOL This will serve as the family truck and back up vehicle for the wife whenever her Burb needs to be in the shop for some reason. I have a little commuter so I won't need to daily this.

Short Term Goals: Restore the exterior back with a fresh coat of paint, make some minor changes along the way, get it lower to the ground and see where it takes us

Long Term Goals: Engine upgrades (cam, heads, intake, exhaust,....), round eye front clip, wheels/tires, rear disc brake conversion

I still have a lot of research to do on the long term goals list because I really don't know what I want to use for any of that stuff other than the clip swap. This is going to be a long term project that hopefully the whole family will enjoy. So I'm not in any real hurry for any of it other than to have fun with it on the weekend in our spare time.

Here are some pics from when she arrived and as she sits now...

The brakes and all the lights and front bumper should be installed by the end of this next week.

Got into a minor fender bender last year. Came with all the stuff to put it back together again. I’ll have it all put on by next weekend is my plan. So the front sheet metal is all reproduction metal. I’m currently in the looking out for a good, rust free OEM round eye front clip

Looks like a cool project. Those crew cabs look huge (compared to what we have over this side of the world)

I still think that looks like a high hump floor. I wonder if it's a '91 crew cab thing, or if 2wd 4L80e Burbs got the high hump too.

That's a mighty fine pickup you've got there, sir! That interior is mint! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

Agree, definitely a high hump. Wish my 88' came with one so I wouldn't have had to do so much surgery for the NV4500 swap.

She’s gonna be a fun one!! Not much time to mess with her today cuz of family stuff but we’ll get it going in the right direction soon. I think a paint job would really go a long way!! I hope to do that in the near future.

Working on what it's gonna take to get this installed while I'm watching football

Not sure if there is a preferred place to stick those temperature probes or not. The instructions just say to stick them into the radiator fins and don't state a preferred position :hmm:

Also thinking I'm gonna have to fab up a mounting brackets to keep this install clean with all the relays and such.

I'd put the temp probe close to either tank, I think it would get a more consistent reading.
