This trans doesn't shift too bad for sitting in the woods for 20 years (I literially found it just sitting in the woods at a not so local yard while looking for studebaker parts).

So $50 for the trans/shifter, $30 for the clutch disc (I already had it), and 10 for other odds and ends, and I now got a 4 on the floor.

My only big issue now is that the original ITM shifter has a lot of play in it, so I got to find some parts to rebuild it.

I just got a job at my local Maaco, so after the motor goes in (which might even happen before May hits) I might do another quick respray.

This poor truck seems to be the truck I'm going to have forever, so one day when I can afford it, I'm going to buy all new sheetmetal and do a lavish restoration.

For now, though, I need to get this to the point where I can jump in it and drive it anywhere without worrying if it going to leave me stranded too bad.

I was on there buying cam bearings and was looking to see if there was anything else I could get. I saw those, and went to a different section, then it was, wait those look different. Sure enough, direct bolt-in, no mention of an electric pump required, so I let you know right away so you can get one before they're gone. I'll share some wisdom, don't hesitate on getting one, stuff gets bought up pretty quickly on his website. I bought my exhaust manifolds, within a week or two, sold out. Bought my cam, within a month, sold out. So jump on it now if you can. If you already have, good, but definitely don't wait, even if you have to borrow the money until you get paid. And congrats on the job, too! I want to see this 292 in your truck as badly as you do. Hope it can happen sooner than later

I bought it within 10 minutes of seeing your post. There were two available before I bought mine.
