Got my wires narrowed down for the gauges. All I need to do now is find out how I’m going to install the factory gauges for the 79 c10 gauges on the ls. The oil pressure sender adapter is easy to find. The water temp adapter however, not so much. The threads in the ls (on the passenger side cylinder head near the back) is 16mm x1.5mm and the threads on the 79 temp sender is like 3/8 npt or 1/2 npt. Can’t find an adapter for that...
With that being said, I found this gauge sender adapter kit from auto meter. It’s autometer 5284. It comes with a 16mm x 1.5 to 1/8 npt adapter (for oil pressure sender), a 12mm x 1.5 to 1/8 npt adapter (for water temp sender) and an aftermarket water temp sender that threads into the 1/8 port on the adapter. Will the temp sender from this kit work with my 79 c10 gauge?
