I want to keep the original radio in my 84 C-K but have misplaced (lost) the support bracket. It appears that it would be quite a challenge, at least for me at my age, to fab

You can get 1/2" wide aluminum stock at local hardware store and make one. Original may be hard to find unless someone has one from a stereo upgrade. Besides, no one sees it anyway.

had no idea they were even a thing. mines just held in place by the knob hardware.
