Hello,

I have a 1982 c10 250 inline6 . Not starting. No fuel at the carb. Does anyone know if there is an in tank fuel pump for this engine or if it’s just the mechanical one. Probably going to pull the tank anyway and clean it out. But don’t really want to if I don’t have to. I’ve looked in a few service Manuel’s. And by what they say to trouble shoot. I don’t believe it has an in tank pump.

No in tank pump in 82 unless someone has changed it over. Would be a manual pump.

Nope it’s all original was my grandfathers. Haven’t been driven in about 3years . Runs if you pour fuel in the bowel.

I’m just gunna start with a new mechanical pump and check the lines. Thanks for the response. I about dropped the tank this weekend. But didn’t.

Yeah there is gas in the tank. The mechanical pump is either bad or the lines from the tank are clogged up. I put fresh gas in her . I think I’m going to take a weekend and pull the tank . Clean it out. Tried just about everything you guys and the internet are telling me. Time to get dirty .

Read my previous post on fuel pumps.
Here's the spring that was missing on the first 2 failed pumps. Only replacement brands I found that had the spring were Delphi or AC.
