Hey everybody, I had been looking for a solid squarebody but here central Texas they are crazy expensive and most that are for sale are rust buckets, and i already have a few rust bucket projects so after looking and looking i got a solid survivor truck from the high desert

So far the plan is to keep the exterior patina, just clear coat it with rattle can, fix up the interior, find a bench with head rests, lower it a bit, put some wide steelies, put fuel injection and over drive in it and call it good

Thanks!

Welcome. Got any pictures of the high desert patina? We never get blessed with that up north, only cancerous rot.

Here's some patina for you all, not the original paint, but you can see it in some spots

Not bad! A lot of that will buff out real nice. On my '81, it polished out pretty good with some Old No.7 polishing compound and some wax.

thanks!

I have had really good luck with Megs Ultimate compound and a yellow CCS pad on my DA, I'll probably do that, and use a 800grit sponge on the rest, then maybe clear it, or who knows haha
