Its time for new tires. Ive been looking at mt simply because most of my driving honestly is through ranchers muddy winter fields cutting firewood. And low speed gravel. With occasional towing to deliver wood. Ive been kinda looking at the mickey Thompson baja mtz p3, bf goodrich mud terrain km2 or the firestone destination mt. Most likley im gonna bump up a little to a 285/75/16 from a 235. What are peoples thoughts with these tires? I shouldnt have a issue just having a 350 with the sm465 should i? And a 285 should clear everything nicely still correct? Thanks

Depending on the size and offset of your wheel I'd think the 285s would fit.

I've heard good things about those Destinations, but haven't run a set.

I had 285's in the BFG KM2 for a while and liked them. Used them on a lot of gravel roads, hauling my 5th wheel, some mud, and lots of rocks. They held up really well- strong sidewalls (and by strong, resistant to cuts, punctures, blowouts). I do have to say when they were brand new I thought they felt "squishy". The tire is made to flex and maybe that was it. It seemed like after putting some miles on them they firmed up. Then when going thru deep stuff or rough trails I'd air them down and they make a great wide footprint (the flex comes in here).

I'm now running 315 BFG KM3s and like them even better.

I've seen Jeeps using those baja MTZs and they seemed to do well also.

I'd just look for the best price and go with those. Tires have come a long ways and I'm sure all three of those that you are looking at would be good for your use.

Yea i was pretty impressed. They definatly have a great selection. The payments for them sold me though. If it wernt for that it would of been the cheapest thing i could afford one tire at a time.

What is that one?
Gladiator xcomp mt. By far the most aggressive tire ive found. For a set of 31x10.5x15 shipped to my house with 3 year warranty was almost $800

My son would get the wrong idea when driving the truck if I were to put something that aggressive on it.
My truck is on the list for new tires some day....

Hoping to have them mounted this weekend. Just have to buy new valve stems. I want the bolt on ones. Not the pop in ones.

They are good in mud and snow, they ride well too. You should like them.
