Have had a constant leak (very small) from tranny pan since we got the truck. Previous owner used sealer around pan to slow it. Was planning on replacing gasket and filter but got to thinking, maybe it’s the pan. So I started looking at new pans on Summit Racing but lots of the reviews talk of the pans cracking and leaking because they are cheap, even a few high dollar ones did not have glowing reviews.

Like to try do this once so need any recommendations on a new pan that will fit and be durable and won’t interfere with the tranny support brace.

All ideas appreciated

Factory or original parts are hard to beat IMHO.

What transmission? @idahovette sorry, good catch, half asleep. Sorry Randy I just looked the pan I bought is no longer listed. I bought it on ebay stamped steel black pan from Carl's customs I was happy with it but they aren't listing that anymore.Thats the pan and spacer I used. It's 1qt deeper but I only run an extra 1/2 qt
Paranoia ,I'm kept the level lower than pan gasket and further from shift shaft seal.

@CalSgt good idea, we like original and simple. You think local NAPA would have one? Like to change it after church Sunday

Thanks y’all

I found a steel pan at speedway motors through scamazon. Going to try a few local places today to see if I can get it sooner but definitely going with a steel pan versus aluminum. Summit did have a steel pan but had a drain plug and all the reviews said the drain plug interferes with the filter so I think I may stay away from that. Although getting it today and grinding drain plug down would allow us to do the swap after church tomorrow…
