Hello all, my name is Thomas. I have acquired a decent 83 GMC. The truck currently has a 305 with little oil pressure. I have also acquired a low mile 350 with mild upgrades from my brother since he is parting out his off roader. There are a few issues with the truck. Like a leaking torque convertor seal, a bad passenger bed side and some minor dents in the front fenders, a ratty interior and some manual window that don't work and a busted windshield. Here are some pictures.

The motor I got started as a 96 vortec short block with standard size pistons, GM 441 heads, high pressure oil pump, comp cams 268 cam and lifter, with a Weiand single plane high-rise intake (I am going to remove and reuse the intake and Qjet from the 305 for now) and some flowtech long tubes. The motor had been sitting a few years since my brother got his 2nd DUI. We fired it out before we pulled it I put a mechanical gauge on it and it had 30 PSI oil pressure at Idle and sounded good.

I have gather a few parts to get the engine installed and running. I have also picked up a few things for winter projects. I got a mid 70's long bed and some stock steel wheels to clean and paint. I also have another cab that has a perfect windshield, a good seat, and decent carpet, and a buddy picked up a mint dash pad for me at the wrecking yard. When my brother was parting out his truck I got the front end off it, its a 76 that is decent. I am going to start by replacing the windshield and interior parts then engine swap. Then I will get some new tires. Then I will do some body work. I have just been waiting for work to slow down a bit after harvest so I can get some more time. The truck will go up to my fathers here soon so we can take the windshield out and replace it and swap the engine since he has a big shop with a hoist, a big A frame engine lift then all the smaller things I will be able to do at my house in the garage once it drives good. The bed and front end are later plans. I am not in any hurry to rush it done so I can try and do most of the work my self.

Here's the front end

And its a back picture I was in a hurry, but here's the bed.

It is a little confusing to describe your 350 engine as a '96 Vortec with 441 heads. This would require someone to buy a '96 Vortec 350 block (roller cam, EFI, 1 piece RMS, excellent flowing heads), and then replace the heads with old 441 heads. Its possible, but not common.
