Hey guys so after a few hard years, my 10 bolt 8.5 gov lock POS rear end finally gave out. I bought a new posi unit for it. Any words of wisdom before me and my father tear something up installing the new unit? My father and I have never done anything like this and I'm not sure we completely understand the pinion depth and backlash stuff. If you have any tips to installing this please share. :)

You're going with new ring and pinion too right? Those ring gear teeth are not so favorable in a few spots.

I'd take a look at Auburn too for sure. So you're going with a Limited Slip unit, not a locker? I like lockers better, but they are noisier and not as comfy at times.
