Hey everyone,
FNG here. Well, new to the forum, but not to square bodies. I was without a square for awhile but recently picked up a 79 C10 Silverado with the 305, auto and 2wd.

The body is in pretty good shape and doesn’t need any work. So far the only thing I’ve done mechanically is replacing the power steering pump. I also replaced the instrument/gauge lights with red LEDs and replaced the gauge lens, replaced the lock cylinder and ignition switch, and replaced the gear indicator. The dash stuff was more cosmetic but it’s made the driving experience more enjoyable. I was having to turn the key super far to get it to crank so replacing the ignition replacement was necessary.

I’m just going to keep driving ‘er for now, maybe lower the truck a little further down the road.

Looking forward to being part of the forum!

Thank you! If I start to do anything adventurous I’ll get some better pictures and put up a build thread. But, nothing crazy planned for now.

This forum has already been super helpful in the simple stuff I’ve done.

Welcome from Ohio. The stock height looks pretty good to me.

Great looking rig. I concur with the comments about the stance. Sometimes just a tire size change will give the truck a radically different look. Not the wheel size, just a little taller and meatier chunk of rubber.

Where in VA? I've got good friends in New Market, and I was born at the US Naval Hospital in Portsmouth.

I’ll get something posted up! It’s not a radical difference but I really couldn’t see anything with those old bulbs in there.

Im in Leesburg. About an hour northwest of DC.

I’ve got family in the northern suburbs of Dallas and I’m there frequently!
