New issue with my 83 k10

So I've been fighting an issue with my truck for awhile now I can get it started by dumping gas down the carb then keep it running by dumping gas in the carb. After doing that a few times itll run on it's own for 10 minutes and die again. I replaced the fuel pump and cleaned the carb any ideas? Tia -Brady

Pull the rubber line off at the carburetor and run a longer fuel line to a bucket or jug. Turn the engine over and verify that fuel is pumping into the jug when the engine turns over. If you are getting fuel out of the line, then its probably the carburetor that has issues. Is it a Quadrajet with an inline fuel filter at the carburetor, or is it some other brand of carburetor?

As 75gmck said, definitely replace your inline filter. Assuming it has one. They can be a bit of a nuisance. Hopefully that's all it is. It's a tiny filter with a spring and rubber o ring.

Thank you I'll give it a try. Also it still has a quadrajet so I'll see what that filter looks like if it has one
