So, I’m sure this is a dumb question… but I bought an 87 which was someone else’s project. I got engine running, and obviously someone yanked 700 out of it and put TH350 in its place. So my question is, I’m doing research and I’m seeing I can get a driveshaft online from a 78 regular cab long bed 350/TH350 for almost 600 bucks. Or I saw a driveshaft from an 03 same exact length significantly cheaper. Is there any reason this will not line up other than slip yoke? Please don’t grill me lol, unfortunately I inherited this mess from someone else, but was too cheap to turn down. Any insight would be a huge help.

Welcome to the site! I would try to find a local drive line shop. Sure you can have one built for less than $600. Good luck
