I have access to buying a new project, but I'm not going to! Family friend she is 83 years old, her husband passed in 2009. She has no idea how much this truck is worth. It was start disabled in 2007 (distributer wires disconnected) and hasn't moved from this spot because he tried to drive it in the last stages of dementia. This is a 1987 dealer truck which was actually purchased in 1986 by the dealer. So it is a second owner. It has all the bells and whistles. Need a consensus of what someone would offer for it. California smog keeps me from getting it and cleaning it up some for a resale. Be honest becuase your guy's and gals comments I will pass on to her so she can sell it.

I would say 2-3k if it runs ok. I gave 2400 for mine 2 years ago not running, but it was rust free and straight.

Being a K, requiring smog and the body issues I see.
( NOT THAT I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH A K )
BUT
You’d be lucky to get 3200 bucks.
I’d offer 1000 to 1500 and part it out if it made it my way.

Yea I'm just trying to get a consensus so I can tell her what to expect for an offer.

Pros, great color scheme for someone who’d want to keeper original, it’s a short box and looks like no rust.
Cons, everything else, except it’s worth considerably more if it runs and stops.
As is, $2k tops.
Running with brakes and holding air in 4 tires, $4k to a sucker who has to have it. Likely a little less though.
I’ve also noticed at least around here, prices of squares has tapered off a bit.
The kicker is rust free trucks aren’t hard to find out here west of the Cascades. And there’s plenty of “ran when it was parked” junkers around. # of owners doesn’t matter.

I agree with you! I thought about getting it 2 years ago but didn't need another project.

Ha, right?
And not long after I started tearing apart the 86, the truck I really wanted came available. But… same answer. 1 at a time.
That truck you posted is either a serious project or a dumpy daily driver. And ain’t no one in Cali wants 35 year old emissions tech to deal with in a bomber daily driver

I will go get some pictures tomorrow and get a shot of the rpo sheet. I told her I would get a scientific wild ass guess for her and I think I have or had one already.

Here's some more info on the truck, the door dent is from a cow. So it wasn't in a moving fender bender. Like I said this is going to be a project for whom ever gets it!
