Ok fellas. My AWESOME wife unit found another Square yesterday in Wyoming. It’s a 1979 Shortbox 4X4 with the 4 speed/205 case. I have a lift kit for my 1976 Step side. It’s a 4” lift all spring. That truck will not be road worthy for a while somInwas wondering if my 76 4” lift kit will work for my new 79? I was looking for an all spring lift for the 79 and it always says that these kits work for 73-76 or 77-87 BUT they say the Blaer kits work on all of them. I just want to know if the 76 will be good to go on my 79? I bought the Rough Country because it has great reviews and people have said they don't sag like the others. I now have 5 Squares sitting in my yard. I need to get moving on getting a couple finished. Thanks again guys for all of your help. I truly appreciate it.

It should. I'm not sure about the u-bolts, but they should be the same size.

I thought all the lift kits were the same for all the years (except for the 1 ton trucks).

The only difference I know of would be some of the kits had a brake re-location/drop down bracket. But thought that was for trucks '81 and up or something.

Or if it came with brakelines then they switched from SAE to metric in I think 1979.

@77 K20 kits are basically the same BUT things like ubolts vary depending on axles, brake hoses depending on year (as you stated) and rear spring lengths (52” vs 56”) are the quick potential differences. 1 ton steering can use different pieces also.

All square body front springs are physically the same but there are some bushing and bolt differences 89-91.
