My rear sliding window in my 85 has a broken latch and won't close. Having the truck repainted now anyway, so pulling the front and rear windows. Should I replace the rear with a new sliding window or just go with the solid glass in the back for a cleaner look? AC truck, so don't really us the slider much anyway. Welcome your advice here.

I prefer the look of a solid, though I hate the buffeting it causes with the windows down. I almost went slider when I replaced mine but since I'll eventually get the AC working, I went back solid for the clean look.

If it's a show truck I would go with the solid glass, looks nicer. If it's a daily driver or work truck I would go with slider, more versatile.

Well what I would get, is a Flex-through rear window. Best of both types. One solid piece of glass that flexes open on each side....

I would always go with sliding if one could be found with a working latch.
People talk about how easy they are to break in to but then forget about how easy the wing windows open.
