Personally, I don't care for that color on a solid painted truck. That white just does it though and makes it come to life and look badass. Weird how that works. I don't like it in a solid, but with that color combo it's great. Kinda like that burnt orange color too. I hate it, but the burnt orange and tan is awesome.

Did you notice Leisure Suit has 1 pc roll up windows. Are you going to do that too? Sure is expensive, but it also looks very clean too.

I couldn't agree more on the solid color without the white. looks like a big brown blob.
As to Leisure Suit. Bitchen rendering, and the truck that dude is building is top shelf. As for me and mine, the only thing we really have in common is a similar color "factory buckskin and white". I'll have regular windows, thinking chrome bumpers, maybe painted wheels (not decided yet for sure), I'm not trying to copy anybody or any build. Just another tan and white squarebody. Be like someone painting their truck Burnt Orange and white and thinking "nobody else should use that color combination".

Thanks. I appreciate that. Wish I could take credit for the paint work. I realized about a month ago that the bodywork was coming out exceptionally well, and the truck deserved better than I could give it in regards to painting. Called out the big gun. "Timmy Two Guns".

That's some dedication to do a body drop! I would love to do mine like that but I wouldn't even know where to begin and no welding skills. Nothing better than the body on the ground! Very cool truck man and nice work!

So instead of running molding you put a silver pin stripe? Interesting idea....

Yes. I did a 1/4" silver stripe that will also have a 1/8" black pinstripe above and below as soon as I can get it done. I wanted the looks of a traditional (albeit smaller) trim without the bulk of side trim protruding from the paint. if that makes any sense.
thanks Andrew. I was actually inspired to paint my truck back to it's original colors by the rendering above this groups home page upper right. Very good looking truck. not to mention I wanted something that will not show dust too bad.
Anyhow, thanks for the kind words peeps. gotta get back to work and push this truck across the finish line. I was hoping for a 1 year total build time, but that would be April 20, next month. NO way is it gonna make it. ok, couple more will not hurt. don't want to rush at this time either. starting to warm up here too. yesterday it was 84*

Thanks. I knew from jump street this truck was going on the ground. Never any doubt . Saw Dino's Truck a couple years ago & decided right then & there that soon I was gonna do a Squarebody that also drags.

That's the plan for my recently acquired 64 c 10....After going to Dino's Git Down, my daughter and I sought after an bought a 64. The 64...yeah...its gonna layout for sure.

I just ran into Dino at So-Cal Speedshop for their show. He was excited to hear that I was able to find a 64.

Gonna be sweet. I had a 63 GMC I sold last year with a 454 in it. I decided there just wasn't enough room between the dash and the back glass for a "full figured guy" to be comfortable in. Squarebodies have more room. Not to mention I just love the body style.
    Good luck on your build.
