I'm looking to swap my K10 with a 700R4 to a MT. I also want to do an LS swap either at the same time or in the future as funds permit.

I was intending to do a NV3500 swap, but wanted to get opinions on what would be the easiest/best swap with my goal in mind. Mostly city driving with some highway.

1984K10 with 7004R so I believe I have a NP208 with 27 splines (I've read they changed in 84 to 32 going forward so how can i verify mines a 27). So I will need to swap from a 27 to 32 spline as well during the swap for a NV3500.

I'd prefer a hydraulic pedal so my other options are SM645 late model, or NV4500 (unobtanium around me).

I already have the pedals and everything for a hydraulic setup, I just need a trans. I have a NV3500 from an S10 but I don't think there's a 5 bolt to 6 bolt adapter is there?

Also if anyone has parts near Denver I've got cash burning a hole in my pocket.

The transmission output is 27 spline, but the transfer case output is 32 spline.

What is the specific goal, besides swapping to a manual? I ask because a factory 465/208 setup will bolt right in with your stock drive shafts. It would be the easiest swap, by far. As far as "best" swap, that's a matter of opinion. Personally, I'd have no gripes running a 465 around town.

If your serious about the future LS, forget the 3500. Just buy a NV4500 from AA and be done with it. Buy once-cry once.

Just found a NV4500 locally that I'm going to look at this weekend. 500$ for a trans, new flywheel and clutch. Worst case I use it as a core.

I just wanted a hydraulic transmission swapped in as opposed to the 700R4.

Looked at the 465 but finding the hydraulic setup seemed to be a bit harder to find. If I saw one FS locally I probably would pick it up.

That's a fair cost. Plan on rebuilding it. The flywheel won't fit unless you have a one piece rear main seal engine. I'd buy it if I didn't already have two. If you need the pedal assembly, I have a few.

You will need to find the hydraulic pedal setup no matter which trans you choose.

You have a Hydraulic pedal setup? I'll happily buy a set.

Is it easy enough to rebuild myself? There's a pretty well recommended shop locally that Idm taking to depending on how costly it is to rebuild.

I saw in another thread you recommended the AA bell housing to clear the DS. Is that the only way to get an early model NV4500 to fit a K10? It isn’t possible to shave the slave housing a bit?

Maybe. Not sure. I've just done this enough that I won't mess with fabricating things to make it work anymore. I'd rather just buy it, have it work and be done with it. I'm not as young and dumb as I used to be.
