With a standard ride height 84 square body C10, what is a maximum wheel width that can be used without rubbing issues? What I’m going for is a drag style wheel/tire combination without doing a shortened differential and/or tubbing. As most street drag radials are generally limited to 15-inch rims, that would likely be the wheel diameter. Thinking 80s style Weld or Centerline wheels for that 80’s Pro-Street styling. Trying to avoid major rear suspension changes.

Open to suggestions. Thanks.

A lot of people have run a 10" out back. Actual clearance beyond that will be determined by tire size, but probably most any tire that fits well on a 12" rim is going to be large enough to at least require larger wheel tubs.

It's not just a matter of width, you have to figure what you can get away with on offset and back spacing.
