Hello all, I've been watching the forum for a while helping my Dad with his 2 trucks. He has an 87 Silverado V10 and an 85 6.2 Diesel K20 Scottsdale in Northwest Montana. The diesel is his daily and it's a bit rough, but the v10 is in decent shape.

Thanks,

The 87 has TBI and I recently replaced the injectors super easy job and made a huge difference in idle and fuel economy.

I've only ever worked on TBI on boats in the past and it seems like these injectors have a fairly short lifespan. They eventually just start over fueling.

Welcome from NC. Trucks that are perfect don't get used. I like the rough look; it means someone is getting there money's worth!

Welcome from your neighbor to the south! I may have to replace my injectors on my '87 also, as I've rebuild the tbi, did the high-rise injector plates, new 02, etc..., but my truck still runs rich & smells of raw fuel.
