Loss of steering and brakes???

So my 91 after a long stretch on the highway when getting off the on ramp the brakes fade and the steering is locked up, what is going on with this??

Power steering pump problem. Possibly low fluid getting aerated at high RPM?

Is it hydroboost? Perhaps you lost the belt.

Or - broke the pully off the power steering pump. Don't ask how I know that one.

K3500 with a 454, I'd say it's hydroboost. I'm @$$uming, since he refers to a long drive at highway speeds that it works normally otherwise.

I'd also guess it's not too big a problem since he hasn't responded.

I put the lucas power steering fluid in it but I think I still might have trans fluid in the system, yes hydroboost too.

change the trans fluid for specific PS fluid in my HB system...work way better!
