Looking for general location of “vacuum ball”? Got a 79 k15 high Sierra, had factory ac but not hooked up. Heater core is in need of replacing so I’m doing that this weekend, but after my engine replacement I found the dampers not working and was told to hook a vacuum line up to the vacuum ball (if that’s even what it’s called)
So need help locating as well as any advice from you sages if the squares!

If you look at this picture you can see the vacuum ball (more like a canister) on the top left, next to the evaporator plenum under the hood.
- The small vacuum line comes out of the bottom of the ball, across the top of the plenum/box under the hood, and then through the firewall grommet to connect to a T right above the heater plenum (behind the glove box).
- You can see the large vacuum line running from the bottom of the ball, across under the silver receiver/drier, and over to the intake and manifold vacuum.

To be back to seriousness, my vacuum canister on my 89 is the RH side of my engine bay, between the firewall and the fender, on the fender well.

(I cant take pics because my "super coil" is covering it)
