Lights on top of fender?

Just bought a fender to replace the crunched one on my Suburban. I noticed it has 2 lights on the top of the fender, one towards the front and one towards the back. Is this some kind of option or aftermarket thing? I was going to cover them up.

The back one looks like it was for an antenna.

I think it is modified. 70s Caddies and Buicks had turn signal indicators on the front end of the fenders. Never seen them on Chevys.

The one on the rear is the factory radio antenna location on the '88-'91 trucks. So that fender came from a K5, Suburban, or crew cab. Or one of the uncommon single cab trucks built in those years.

Ok, so no big deal if I cover the holes. I won't be destroying some rare fender that someone else needs...
