Can anyone tell me if my sliding side windows will fit in a top with a top with a standard window? I wouldn't think the actual top would be different between the two but just wanting to make sure.

As far as I know the tops are the same. Slider or one piece glass was just a matter of what optional equipment the truck had.

Agreed^^ From what I remember, the sliders in the top were just like the back window slider on a pickup, they fit in the glass gasket.

If you are getting sliders from a j/y try and find ones where the additional wing windows are not missing.

In the early 90's I swapped out the leaky sliders in my K5 for fixed windows with no issues.

Did you have to replace the gaskets too? I seem to remember them being different between sliding and solid.

Also, I absolutely LOVE my slider windows with the wing glass.

They are the same window cutout on all the 73 through 91 tops. You can swap whatever you like into another but the non-sliders seem to not be a catalog item so you probably have to go see a glass cutter that will custom cut them for you.

I'm pretty sure I did, but I don't recall of it was out of necessity. I know I wanted to switch out the chrome locking strips which where worn with black. Back then, I had a friend working at a GMC dealership, so I got factory parts at cost.

The window to top gaskets for both sets of windows are the same too FYI. I have a top that has each and have measured them out. I'm swapping tops from sliders to solids but am keeping the seals off the top that has sliders (to sell at a later date, lol)

Does the rear glass from a Suburban fit in the Blazer/Jimmy caps? That glass seems to be somewhat readily available.

I believe they have a different shape for the side glass and the rear windows but don't consider my answer 100 % sure.

Completely different in shape and length. I put them on top of each other before as I had four suburban windows laying around at one time
