    In 1999 I needed a tow truck for a 22,000 lbs food trailer. I didn't have any
money left, so I traded an '81 Z/28 Camero in nice shape for this '74 Chevrolet
2500, converted to 3500 14 bolt with an '86 bed and flairs. A few years later we
bought a '99 Chevy Dully to pull the trailer and this poor beast sat & sat, oxidize
paint, bent up bumpers but a fresh rebuilt 454.

When I told the wife I was going to fix up the orange truck, she said fine, not
knowing I would eventually spend $10,000 + to her dismay............
You folks have probably never heard of such a husband wife relationship.
You Love the 'Hot Rod', wife hates Husband.....

So the restoration was body, glass, interior, bigger exhaust, repaint with Chevrolet
Hugger Orange, Dover White Rally Stripes, Cowl Hood, Rear spoiler, Roll Pan,
400 Turbo. Wheels are wheel Vintiques 6 lug Rally Wheels Chromed. Fronts are
15 x 8" The rears were 15 x 14", but I sent them to Weldcraft Wheels and they
    were widened to 15 x 18" 4" wider to hold the Hoosier 33 x 22.50 x 15 Pro Street tires.

Hopefully some of the 4 x 4 guys can enjoy this street truck..............

The green SS El Camino will run 12's without the bottle. Freshened up over the last
    1 1/2 years.

:welcome: super sick dually!!! Ever since I was a kid I've love that conversion on the rear to one wide wheel rather than dual wheels. :)
