Hey Guys,

I'm Johnny M, Projects Director at BluePrint Engines, and K10 Owner. Just wanted to say hello as I'm finally getting into restoring this old rig that we have owned since new, and I'm sure i'll have some Questions!!!

Truck is powered by a Stroker 383 with 430HP
Truck has a Performance Automatic 700R4 with Matching Torque converter
Other than helper springs, and a seldom used plow, its pretty bone stock.

it used to be one of the cleanest in the area, but the Ohio road salt has taken its tool in the last few years.
Mechanically its perfect, with a new driveline, brake lines, etc.

Looking forward to using the forum to hunt some square body parts, and bring ti back to its previous glory.

happy to be here!

Much of my mechanical knowledge and abilities are attributed to this old truck... I think i have changed more fuel pumps on the side of freeways than I care to admit! It also used to eat HEI modules like it was its job.lol It was bought new in 1986 with an oddball configured 305, with a 4 bbl. 1 piece seal block, but perimeter bolt heads. Also had some odd 1/2 metric front accessory drive.
the 305 made it about 90K miles and was due for replacement. I drove this truck all through HS and College....so it wasn't exactly babied.

The crate 383 / trans was the best upgrade I ever did, also put in a new serpentine front drive.
Finally reliable and fun to drive!
Now onto the body!!

Just the one in my Avatar. Its not much to look at these days, so I don't snap too many pics of it like I do my Other cars. lol.
I'll get some eventually. I do have a video from when I swapped the front drive over!

Haha, the engine is the best part, and that new front drive is really nice.

Its going to get painted and new panels here the end of the summer. I'm a Bracket racer, and travel a bunch for BluePrint, so my free time just hasn't made it over to this old truck yet. Just started looking at replacement panels, and trying to see whats worth saving or not.

as of now, I can't see doing much body work at all on something like a fender, when i know that surface rust will come back, and I can buy a goodmark fender for $100...but we'll see what happens. probably needs a bed also... would like a nice quality driver. not perfect, but nice.
