Gonzales Louisiana is the Jambalaya Capital of the World...if that means anything to any of you. Every year there is a Festival with a jambalaya cooking contest that draws thousands of folks to this town. There are some fantastic local bands, lots of "scenery" and a little car show.

My Favorite-Ex-Brother-in-Law used to cook in this contest every year but now he just attends the Car Show. We are all getting old I guess.

Anyway, I took a few pics that I hope some of you will enjoy.

I took these next two pics for @AuroraGirl . I know this is a Grand Prix and not a Grand Am but they are very similar and I love these cars. This one is a 1977 model.

This old Willys was super nice but was not completely original. The owner told me that his grandfather swapped in the flathead Ford V-8 back in the '50s because "It was a Big Deal to have a V-8 in the '50s".

Seeing that Pontiac at your car show reminds me of this show posted years ago. LeMans arrives early grabs the best spot....

The driver went to hit the brake pedal and smashed the accelerator instead.

Unbelievable! I hope the LeMans owner gets enough to buy a turn key replacement and a nice steak dinner at the minimum.
