On mine, the jack sits atop the driver side inner fender. It's held in place by a clamp and wingnut, and the base of the jack sits in a plastic tray. The crank and the tire iron sit on top of the passenger inner fender, and they're held down by a clamp and wingnut. I may still have the tray for the jack, but I'll have to check. I highly doubt I have any of the other hardware, and I don't have a jack. I'd check junkyards Here's a picture of the setup.

I've got a different bottle jack now, but it's mounted to the passenger wheel well in the stock location with the tire iron and jack crank bolted to the passenger inner fender.

Thanks for the info in this thread and pics, I was able to install the Jack and everything else that was shoved behind the seat. Nice to have it in its spot!

handle and lug wrench mounted on R wheelhouse on 81. If you want a picture Can attach one but don't think it applies to the 80 and older trucks. I think the entire jack placement and design changed in 81.

The jack mounting location and orientation changed over the years.
This thread has pictures and some info on stock jacks.

Some pictures I found of jacks in the engine bay.

My '79 has holes in the passengers inner fender well for the hold down bolts. I have the clamps but no jack or handle.
