Installing a 1995 5.7 TBI engine into a 1987 V20 5.7 TBI

Direct swap! There are some differences with external stuff like the accessory drive, water pump and air cleaner studs. But the long block engine assembly itself swaps right in.

You can use the serpentine drive accessory setup if you want, but you will need to use the correct AC lines if equipped and reroute you alternator wiring.

No. The wire harness for the engine is a little different due to some emissions stuff and being for the newer body truck. The newer transmission is also electronically controlled. You would need to use your original transmission and engine harness.

Thanks again bucket. I've found several 94-95 engines locally to look at. Mostly around $500. Your info helps out alot.
