Guys,

I'm prepping the burb for bags. Right now, I've got the bed floor ripped out and the notch put in. I want to start making the tubs and finishing out the bed floor but I haven't quite decided what to do about the transition from the interior tub to the outer rear quarter (does that even make sense?). I think maybe I'm over complicating the process and just need to see some examples to get some inspiration. I would think it would be best to mate the outer portion of the wheel tub with the inner portion of rear quarter (like OE).

Does anyone have any good shots of their bed floors from underneath?

Thanks!

:welcome: Casey. Not sure of anyone here who has bagged a burb but maybe someone can offer some suggestions from experience.

Whatever you want to fabricate, run with it. I've got a Burb with rotted tubs and they aren't repopped yet. my plan was always to modify a set of trailer fenders to fit.

Are your stock tubs in good shape?

Pickup and Blazer tubs are shaped much different than Burb tubs. That's why I suggested trailer fenders, they are relatively cheap and would require about the same amount of fabrication.

I'm not sure if these are it because it's been a very long time since I've actually seen one in person.

That top one is pickup/Blazer. The bottom one is pickup with the wood floor option.

Nobody makes a Burb wheel tub, they are not shared with other trucks. I would absolutely love it if someone could prove me wrong though. I'd be the first guy to buy a pair.

Do you just let the water and dirt spray all over the inside of the thing?

Also, if he’s modifying and raising the floor is it possible he could just use pickup or blazer wheelhouses?

That's what I mean, everything is going to be custom fabbed anyway, so just do whatever you prefer. I'd just rather hack up some cheap trailer fenders that are heavier gauge (easier for welding back together) rather than a set of truck tubs that are often more expensive and have so much more material than needed.

Truck and Blazer tubs with 90% of a Burb tub. Truck and Blazer are the same, except the Blazer (white) tub is for the passenger side and has the bolt holes for the spare tire bracket. Mostly what's missing from the Burb tub is the "wings" that flare into the inner quarter panels.
