Trying to determine the best way to route the ignition switch wires on my 82 C10. Would appreciate pics of OEM routing, or your advice.

This what I'm talking about. Straight back comes too close to brake pedal. Coming out to the right would interfere with radio. Maybe a tight turn up and over, or up and back? Will use some split loom to protect wires, however they do use the tough GXL (or SXL?) insulation.

I seem to recall the harness dropping straight down from the switch, but can't remember where it goes from there. Might have to brave the cold...

Thanks. I've been running other groups of wires waiting to do ignition switch and turn signal switch last.

According to the shop manual they shall go down along the column on the left side (seen from drivers position). That,s how I did it on my 83 Silverado. The fat black one of the two on attached picture
