I've spray painted some stuff before that kinda sorta resembled that after it spent years outside. Like on that fender and door. But I do agree with you, it looks like they attempted to fake it.

Couple hours with a buffer and an old set of wagon wheels...
This has to be the cleanest original round eye I’ve seen in about 30 years!
That is literally the original factory paint.
Idk what he’s going to ask, but I’m sure he knows what it’s worth.
That said, I’m not trying to sell this for him, but given there’s a huge group of squarebody aficionados here, if someone is looking for the “right” square to restore or just drive, this truck is it.
Suffice it to say, if I didn’t have the ‘86 tore apart already, it would be for sale and I’d already have bought this one from him.

Saw this one when leaving the hotel this morning. It's a really nice C20. I didn't get too close, but it looked to be original paint still.

I see so many nice trucks driving around in the rural areas, I wish I could get pictures of them all but it's just too unsafe to do so most of the time.

I think we all have the same problem. I saw a really nice C this afternoon, but there was as no way I was getting a camera on it in time.

I'm usually pretty darn quick to get my phone out and I could get so many pictures if I was driving my own truck. But most of my time spent driving is behind the wheel of a poor handling medium duty truck that is always at max capacity (or 10k over, lol) and it's super important to keep it between the ditches. That and the weight/wheelbase ratio does NOT play nice with expansion joint spacing. Sometimes it's like Peter Cottontail hopping down the bunny trail

But I did get a picture of this today too. I'd bet it's on a squarebody chassis. I really like it.

Not sure that primer really helped...

BTW, your 74 looks just like my dads truck he got in 1980. Identical colors except it was a 74 C20 with a big block and 3” chrome side pipes! Loved that truck. Unfortunately it was more rust than truck by about 1985.

Caught this one a couple days ago.
There’s actually a lot of squares around the PNW just still doing work every day.

Another 50's truck. But if you look behind it, there's a '73-'75 K5 with the door hanging open.
