also...any stall recommendations for a stock cammed vortec in a truck with th400, 3.73 axles and 285/75-16 aka "metric 33s" ?

advertised stall of the one above is 1500 in a bbc. probably closer to 1200 with the sbc. id prefer low trans temps to leaving the line a little harder.

Just talked to Hughes Performance. Provided them with my specs of my stock cammed vortec 350:
Intake .414
Exhaust .428
3.73 gear
5700lbs

Stated the converter in question would put my stall right around 1500-1600 rpm.

I’m going to purchase it in a few hours unless someone thinks this combo is objectionable.

While there were convincing arguments made on both sides, ultimately I went with the gm5xtm-1
