Anyone have a good part number for a hood pop-up spring for an 84 k30?

lmc truck has them, but I was looking for a p/n that would work at Napa, etc.

Unless your spring broke, try greasing the latch mechanism. Even though I replaced the cable, the hood would not always pop. I pull a little bit of white lithium grease in it and it opens every time.

I don’t have any spring. I cleaned and greased the latch and it pops most of the time, but sometimes I need to press it back down and re pop it.

the one 82 posted has a fairly similar part number to lmc. I guess I’ll just try to put a bigger order together to justify the shipping.

I have a good spring from a wrecked 87 hood, the hood was a really nice rust free hood before the truck ate the back of a Tommy gate if you would be interested in a good used one.

Thanks, I appreciate the offer! I’d take it, but I already put together an order from lmc of odds and ends yesterday.
