Helper bag setup with C-notch?

Hey guys, has anyone done helper bags on their truck with a flip kit in the rear? Been looking around and only finding universal kits. If it weren't for the outboard mounted shocks, there's a couple kits for a 99-06 truck that are made for a flip kit that might work. Or the other thought was air shocks but I like the ride of my Belltech SPs.

I'm running a flip and 2" rear shackle and any time I have my toolbox loaded, luggage, spare and cooler, it squats the back of the truck pretty good so I'd like to add the bags to help prevent any issues creeping up. I'll be roadtripping from GA to AZ next month so I'm hoping to get it done before then.

Been eyeing this setup. I'd have to drill through the notch and the frame but this just might work

I believe @Big Chip had this done on his 1 ton with helper bags because he also pulls a trailer.

I purchased my static drop kit from Switch Suspension, and they have the helper bag setup also. Awesome crew to deal with.

@Big Chip by looking at it, this makes me wonder if I could add this in the future....however that setup looks to be part of the weldment of the c-notch. In that case I could probably make my own custom setup with bags, only if I need them. I do have new 1-ton springs, so it's pretty stout.

I like that switch setup but that's C30 only unfortunately. On the C10s, the driver's shock is right on the outside of the frame where that mount/bag would go. If it weren't, the '99-06 style flip kit helper setup like this one would work:

It rides better if there's a few pounds of air in the bags. I do know that next time I do this I will be going directly to bags and skip the static drop.

Oh absolutely. I've had helpers on a couple of my NBS trucks. 8-10lbs seems to ride best. I don't want to do full air ride, I plan to do coilovers/4-link and make the thing handle eventually and hopefully adapt whatever I do now to work with that as well

Interesting, I've never heard of them. I'll look 'em up!

I went on their site and looked around. Do you have a picture of the set-up on your truck.
