HELP

I have an 87 R10. It started a lwb and we cut it down to a swb. 14" from in front of axle and about 6" at rear of frame. Did the same to the bed. Went to put bed back on truck and for some reason the rear axle is way forward. I measured 100 times before cut and checked twice. Any ideas? It does have a rear flip kit and front drop spindles. Thank you all in advance. Maybe someone has been here done that

14" would be the right length to cut out. something ain't right.
I can measure my short bed if that would help ya.
I'd verify that you have 117.5 wheelbase now.

I'll verify as soon as I get home. Thank you for response. I'm confused lol. Hope easy fix

The rear flip kit is the issue more than likely. Watch this video and go to about 12:50. You will see how far the axle gets moved forward. ORD sells a kit to help correct this.

Holy cow. Thank you. I measured 1000 times and everything was right except the rear axle. Thank you Craig. I almost thought I lost my mind. Was hanging up the mechanical gloves.
