Headlights come on when using turn signals

Hello all. I’m a newb and this is my first post ever here. I have an 81 stepside 2wd that I’m having issues with. I’m in the process of re installing the headlight, turn signal harness. I put power to the truck and turn the headlights on. All four headlights light up no problem but I don’t have side marker lights and my high/ low beams aren’t working right. Also when I put the hazard lights on the headlights come on or if I try to use the blinkers either left or right the headlights come on. The truck has been apart for some time but it did work before it was removed. I’m at a loss right now. I should also add that it has the lmc heavy duty harness in it. Thanks a lot.

If you still have the old harness, I'd pull the new harness and compare the connections. Get a pencil and paper and mark/draw out the old harness.
