Got this truck about 3 weeks ago and have been thinking about changing this grille to a factory one, what do you guys think? Should I keep this one or go factory?

Throw that grille away and put your secondary latch back on.

Seen so many different grills on these trucks over many decades. The tube or bar style seem just as at home as the oem style. A billet grill tends to give an aftermarket or altered feel, at least to me.

I like that style and will be switch over to it when the exterior work is in its finishing stages.

Original all the way. I like to be able to look at the front and know the year(s) it is.

Ok I'll be on the lookout for the stock style. Would this be the correct style for 78 k20?

Yep, that one. It was used in '77-'79 and also in some late 70's Van's too.

The mid 80's 4 light GMC grill is my favorite. I'm swapping my 80 single square to the 86 nose with that grill.
