1986 GMC Sierra Classic 1500 SWB 4x4, 305” on a 700r4

I made my own grill out of expanded steel and I’m looking for a red GMC grille emblem.

i’m not fond of chrome, but I’ll take what I can get.

LMC wants $130. for the one they sell.

^Thats a big emblem, would look right at home on the grille.
I’m hoarding one of those and the tailgate panel until I decide whether I’m doing a tailgate panel or not.
BUT, another option for the OP is find a newer one. IMo they look good. I bought this one for cheap on CL, for my non OEM grille. It’s from a 2000s Denali iirc. Took a little creativity to get it to mount to the grille, bout 2 Miller lites worth!

Yes I’ve purchased parts from Motor City K5, I’ve had good service.
JEGS also sells these grille Letters for a little less.

Medium duty trucks have larger emblems, and many are metal. These are from a late 1960's C50/60. I needed to bent the "M" to match the grille bend.

Thanks. I appreciate the info. I've been buying old '83-'88 grilles to rob the letters off of. Planned to paint them with modelers red paint, but found out I'm not an artist. :boxed:

I’ve restored many sets of letters. I polish the chrome first, then a lot of careful masking, 3 light coats of spray paint then clear.
