Customer is responsible for all shipping, of which I charge a flat fee of $50 (continental US), and refund the difference once cluster is shipped.

Disclaimer

Gauges will be modified to fit flush against the back of the dash bezel, this process requires removal of the factory trim ring and re-mounting of lens directly to the gauge housing. While I have built several dozen clusters by doing this with no issues, modifications such as this will void any warranties to the gauges, should there be a manufacturer defect. By hiring me to build your cluster, you are acknowledging this disclaimer and are fully responsible for the gauges once they leave my possession.

Recommendations

Buy a new dash bezel, it will look much better than an old or faded unit (www.LMC.com has very nice dash bezels)

Purchase a Painless Performance Universal Gauge Wiring Harness, makes wiring the gauges in much easier (PN 30301 or 30302)

Upon cluster installation into vehicle, remove all dash pad screws and drop the steering column down as far as possible. It is a tight fit to squeeze in the cluster assembly, having these parts out of the way/movable will make installation go much smoother

There's the info he emailed me back. Less than half of a new one that's about $900. He's in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

That Dash looks awesome, i'm going to call this fella up.
Say, my 1980 project is closing in on interior work, and i'd really like to know if the interior components (specifically all dashboard stuff) from 1981 / 1982/etc will fit my 1980 truck? I'm not looking to absolutely have a 'year-correct' truck; i like some of the '81+ features better than '80 down, like the dash bezels, trim, etc.
Also, my truck had the older style one-wire dual tank solenoid, with the old style rocker sw in the dash panel.
I went to the newer style 5 wire fuel tank solenoid, and the required dash switch... but i'm pretty sure looking at the sw that it will not fit in that same dash hole. Is anyone out there working on a '81+ truck that can tell me the opening dimensions of the newer dual tank dash switch?
Thanks!
Clif

I've got an 82 with the tank switch mounted by the ashtray. I'll have to measure it to tell you the dimensions of it tho.

Let us know if you get this guy to do your cluster. Looks like he does a really good job. I wanna give him a shot at mine when I get to that point.

They will fit the 80'. Here's my '79 with 81 & up interior parts. I think you can use the dash bezel up to an '84 as it has the hole for the wiper switch on the dash. There are minor differences in the lower dash plastic trim and the right side A/C vents, so I bought those during the switch.

That dash looks great! Well done.
By the pics in the LMC catalog, the '81+ main plastic bezel has chrome inner rings around the gauges, but '80 down don't, so i was wondering if i was stuck w/ only the older stuff.

Yah, if you could measure that dash slot pretty precisely, that'd be great. Looking at this new switch, once it's pushed in it looks like a b#*%h to get out... plastic crap.

Craig, in those pics, is that brushed aluminum bezel cover the aftermarket one from LMC? i noticed it doesn't cover the lower 3rd of the main dash.

Clif, the 81 & up does not have the lower trim like the '80 does. The trim face I got from LMC. IIRC I had to bend the trim to match the contour of the bezel. I got a used bezel on eBay and painted the whole thing black, then repainted the letters. I kept having issues with the trim staying on the bezel.

The door panels were Scottsdale models (no cloth inserts), again from eBay that I resprayed. The door trim is available without the grab handles.

The VIN opening in the dash is a little different between the 80 and the 81 & up. Part of your VIN will no longer appear through the opening.
