Not sure if this is the right section, but I'm trying to figure out what would be the pros and cons of changing my full-time 4WD hubs to part-times.. Like from Mile Marker hubs. Totally curious.

Just make sure you keep it in "HI-LOCK" to drive it, or you won't go anywhere. I did it on my truck, and got better gasmileage, and the steering didn't have that lumpy feeling anymore.

That's if you're still running the NP203 Tcase of course.

If not, and running one of the part time Tcases, like NP205 or NP208, you've got nothing but pros to swap to to part times. More dependable for sure.

Okay, so it turns out mines already been converted over. So I'm almost 100% positive this means I have a NP203 It's always in Hi-Lock (2 Hi w/ Conversion). My truck has Mile Marker locking hubs on it, so I would guess it has a mile marker conversion kit.

Anyways, I'm thinking of going to Warn Locking Hubs and that's why I was wondering. Any suggestions on the locking hubs? Pros and cons?

And should I consider converting over to a NP205? o_O I hear they're much better transfer cases... I'm just a rookie, so excuse my blant ignorance.

NP203 has a kind of large round "differential" housing on the back of it, an NP205 does not.

Nothing, really.. Just not a fan of the plastic free/lock dial. Would much prefer stainless or brass. Guess it doesn't much matter, though.

3/4 turn vs 1/4 turn is more important in my opinion. 3/4 turn is easier when the grease is cold.
