Hey everyone, new to the group and first time post. I have an 87 V10 short box, I did a Vortec 6.0 LQ4 swap and backed it with the SM465 that was in the truck with the previous engine. This was a fun project and I had to do some research to find parts and do a little fabrication to make this combo work but once I got it all together I didn’t really care for the low geared transmission behind an engine that wants to go..... now I am going to build the 4l80e that I pulled with the engine. My question is how do I price the SM465 and how much? List of parts are as follows: * SACHS 1050 flywheel (used to mate to the LS engine and use an older 10 spline clutch) *ARP flywheel and pressure plate bolts * Hays Super Truck Clutch 12” (New) *LS7 pilot shaft bearing * New clutch fork * New Throwout bearing *79-91 SM 465 32 spline with an aluminum bell housing. * Advanced Adapters slave cylinder bracket pt#715535 * New slave cylinder, hydraulic line, master cylinder and reservoir. * Hydraulic clutch pedal assembly (Bowler Transmission’s hydraulic clutch pedal assembly kit) * I also have a complete manual clutch linkage kit that includes: * Steel Bell housing, Old style clutch fork, z bar, bell crank, clutch rod, and what is a fair price for all of this? I appreciate your advice in advance.
Sounds like a lot of nice parts, but it depends. Is the slave bracket to make an older bellhousing work as a hydro? If so, the bellhousing itself has little value. Same thing with the pedal assembly. Is it factory hydro pedals or conversion pedals? It also depends on how much you are willing to split stuff up. If you are trying to sell it complete, it may be a hard sale. But if you are willing to sell the trans separately, all the clutch and pedal stuff should sell fast. The 465 trans itself, it may take a bit to find a buyer.
