I have a 1980 Gmc C3500.
After a weekend of jump starting, and some trail and error I put in a new battery. In doing so my fuel gauge now reads past Full in the 3 o’clock position. The fuel selector switch does not change the position of the needle on either side tank. Could I have blown the fuse fuel selector fuse. Or is it a ground issue?

. From what I read this fuse is specific to 1980 models
