Fuel pump, sending unit grounds?

Getting ready to run wire from my new tanks? Question is do I run the ground wires all the way to the cab or just to a good spot on the frame near the tanks?

On the fuel injection trucks, ground strap runs on drivers side frame rail.

Like directly behind the rear wheel

Frame should be grounded to body, frame to motor, motor/frame to battery

Here's what my '85 looks like. Black wire on the right tank is the easiest to see. It has a star washer where it bolts to the top of the frame.
