Frame vin location, reference pics.

I've seen a lot of questions for this and I know most people don't get down to the bare frame. So it's kind of a witch hunt every time.

The 80's seem to be drivers side by the rear cab mount.

But this is a 76 gmc c30 chassis. Passenger side frame rail, front cab mount.

Same 70's frame. Looks like a manufacture date, as well as some kind of line number, on each frame rail near where the front of the gas tank would be.

That’s frame rail part number with the date on the side.

My 87 Blazer frame has a partial VIN on the top of the passenger rail under the front floorboard area.

Hmmm okay. I thought I had saw a picture in my searches where the vin was by the drivers side gas tank on top of the rail. But it may have been random number instead.

But that is where the 76 is as well.

My old 80 K10 had frame rail part numbers on both sides in the gas tank areas.
