Evening, fellas! I've got a new project to drag home tomorrow! It would have been today, but the tow company had a police call and they only run one driver at night, so we canceled the tow after waiting 3 hours.

In any case, ya'll will probably recognize this trunk, I bought it from Raylanr. I've got a lot of plans for it that DON'T include tearing it down to the frame. I learned my lesson on the last one!

    Plans:
TBI engine tune-up (doesn't idle right at the moment)
Install PY0 wheels with new AT tires
Remove welded-on van bumper and rear late-model bumper and install proper square bumpers
Remove step bars that the PPPPO (that's previous previous previous previous owner) mounted to the CAB BUSHINGS, WTF?!
    Magnaflow Muffler
All new seals for the doors and windows
    Door hinge pins and bushings
Re-upholster front seat (and maybe rear)
Body work, body work, body work
More body work, body work, bodywork
    Paint!
    LS swap?!
    ???
    Profit! (just kidding, not selling!)

    Here's how she stands today:

Need to get these installed once I get the engine running right:

Cool project. Did you notice it has the 77-80 tailgate?

Yeah, I'm excited about that. I've always liked the centered Chevrolet script instead of having it off to the passenger side like the later tailgates.

I'm glad, too! I've always wanted a crew cab. This one has a lot of potential.

Yeah it does! May need some body work but looks pretty rust free and interior isn't too bad either other than the driver front :)

No, no, no, not this one, lol. I learned my lesson with my last attemped frame-off. This will be a weekened or 1 week max per project type truck. :D

DIY purple tint is gone, glove box latch is fixed, and one of the side steps is removed (which were welded to the frame on one end, and bolted to the cab bushing on the other, le sigh).

Also ordered a fuel pressure adapter fitting and gauge to get started on diagnosing the engine issues.

Not a bad start for the first day.

It would have been a lot more productive if the tow driver had come yesterday instead of today

    Looks better already.

We're thinking the EGR may be bad. We rebuilt the TBI so who knows.
