Floor Shifter For TH400

Anyone have any recommendations for floor shifters?

Or does someone have one they'll part with?


Planning on manual VB with trans brake.

Pattern would be P-R-N-1-2-3

Doesnt have to be labeled correctly, i really dont care about. I just want a shifter i can yank down when i launch my shitbox from "neutral"

I dont have a 3 speed auto column, so im probably just gonna roll with a floor shift. I can cut and weld shifter to work so it dont hit bench seat.

I'm eventually wanting to put in a floor shfter too. Was looking at this one. Not too expensive either. Might go with this.

I like the Hurst Quarter Stick, TCI makes some nice shifters also.

I have seen some advertised for truck with a longer handle, either than or you need to fabricate a shifter mount so your not leaning as far down to reach the shifter. The distance between the floor in a truck is a lot further than a car!!

Yep, that was my concern with squatty potty shifters, i wanna be able to sit back in my seat when i launch it and just pull the handle down

For the average floor shifter installation in a truck, I really like the affordable B&M Unimatic. But with a manual valve body, a full ratcheting type is a must.

I used a B&M Quicksilver Ratchet shifter in my truck. It is reverse pattern compatible and if you ever upgrade to 4 speed, it's also 4 speed compatible. I think Mega shifter is the same too in the B&M lineup as far a reverse pattern and both 3 and 4 speed. you can even get the tall deck for iehter of them too for trucks so your reach isn't so far.

I currently have the B&M 80680 Mega shifter for trucks in my K30 and i'm more than likely going to swap in a brand new full manual/reverse pattern th400 this summer. As it sits now, I built a plate to mount the shifter on so it's got a solid base, and put it in a location that allows me to have a little range of travel in the seat (i'm short legged) and when you're in gear, the handle is about 3-4" back from the park position. It's at that perfect "sweet spot" for one hand on the shifter and one hand on the wheel. I really like the shifter, it full ratchets and doesn't allow missed/skipped shifts, is positive and has good function. But I also know it is STIFF, no matter what i've tried. and if i'm going to be switching to a full manual valve body in this driver, I have told myself this is probably not the shifter to keep. I had a B&M prostick in years past and will more than likely swap this shifter out for either one of those or a Hurst quarter stick when I make the trans swap. And I will build a tower for the shifter so it fits the position for hand placement just like I did in years past. I would probably keep the current shifter if the driving was only on occasion, or maybe it's just in my head when I think about a full manual valve body on the street with this thing and I should wait and drive it once the trans has been swapped and then decide. but I just don't think this is the one to have for constant shifting. But I will say, you can literally beat it like a red headed step child and it performs exactly the same every time. Just my $.02.
