Fender and Hood panel fitment

Looks like the hood is on a little bit cockeyed. The rear corner on the driver's side is too close; that may bind up when it's being opened and closed. There should be some adjustment in the hood hinges bolt holes?

Bent hinges are my guess. Remove the hood pins prior to trying to r&r hinges and attempt a re fitment. If you are comfortable with the idea, remove the pins and grab the hood while partially open and give it a shove to the driver side to try and tweak what you have back a closer fir before you start loosening bolts.

I would start with loosening the bolts holding the hinge to the hood, on both side (with some extra hands). There is adjustment in the holes that will allow you to 'twist' the hood some to try and align it better with the fenders.

That side looks better but is still too tight on the front. Panels that close in primer, will chip with more paint on them.

Not a one person job!! and take the lock pins out of the equation. little bit at a time you get it!

So far I have loosened all of the bolts and while I can make the worse side look better, the other side now does not line up with the front grill area so I push it back to get that in line and the whole thing goes back to how it was. Makes me think the hinges might be bent or installed wrong on the truck itself.

How's the gap between the hood and the cowl? if thats even , you might need to move the core support towards the passenger side.
It also looks like the drivers fender is to tight to the cowl. Shime that out and it will lessen the difference on the drivers side.

The back on the cowl is straight

You might be onto something. I just noticed the differences between the two sides of the support.
