My Power steering pump started making some noise so I am once again looking to replace it. Which got me thinking, that led me to find this link.

Now I'll most likely stick with what I have for simplicity. But I thought it would be good information to post up and see what you all think about it.
Would this "free up" some power like going to electric fans would?
Also would it be able to keep up with the demands of our trucks systems?
I could see it cleaning up the engine compartment for a show truck/car.

Not an option for my hydro boost system. Probably not a terrible idea for a race car. Many of those guys run e-fans, water pumps, etc.

As it is, I already feel too heavily reliant to electronics with my efi/ignition.
