My 79 c30 did not come with a stock air cleaner. I just finished installing a 454 and want to put a stock air unit back on.

What years will work for me? Is 454 different from a 350? Want to have the heated air intake working for winter

Thanks in advance.

do you have the heat stove around your exhaust currently? you likely had a passenger side facing wide oval air cleaner with either a tall lid or a normal lid. with a THERMAC installed on that manifold. Most likely.
You must be registered for see images attach

something akin to this

i believe 77 and up for sure had the ability, 75-76 i think it may have been the narrow snout which looks dumb and isnt evoking big strong confident feelings in how it looks. also pretty restrictive. I have a 77 cleaner that matches the pic i showed, so I assume 77-86 would give you a range. tbi had a diff air cleaner i think.

My ‘75 350 has the same air cleaner design, with the wide snout and a hose to the radiator support. However, the exhaust heat stove on a 350 is a little different, with the metal pipe connected to a fitting near the center of the exhaust manifold .

Good time to convert to true EFI. Leave all that other junk behind. Carry on.

^^^^ @Rusty Nail is not wrong.

I will never put it back on my truck.
I'd maybe buy it from you.. I have one from a newer EFI truck that will work, but I need the 90 degree elbow for it in order to hook up the hose to the core support. I'd prefer to have an original squarebody one that points to the right place to begin with. I'll be up in the portland area on the 7th of this month for a surgery consult at OHSU, maybe we could meet up and do a deal?

I should clarify. Do you have the shield under the manifold. The oven where it is making heat go to. And then the tube off the oven thing which is the circle to the pipe which that pipe prob sits out forward morel

Lemme know boss.
It is just another piece of stuff I don't need.
I have plenty of that to go around and need to start downsizing my hoard.

I have way to much shehit in the garage that I will never use.
Besides, If I get rid of something I have, that makes room for something new I don't have to take its place.
Gotta keep the stock fresh and rotating to accommodate for my changing whims...

Current whim, car stereo junk.
